The Old Orchard Beach Historical Society maintains the Harmon Museum which houses a treasure trove of amazing exhibits highlighting Old Orchard Beach’s rich history. It is a “must do” while visiting Town! You will be delighted! It’s a wonderful way to enrich your autumn visit while learning about the local culture. 

Visit Snell Farm for apple picking from mid-September to mid-October. You can also explore their farm store, stocked with fresh vegetables, sweet cider, and a variety of other farm-grown fruits. Don’t miss their greenhouse filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, colorful gourds, vibrant mums, and a range of fall décor like dried flowers and wreaths. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the southern Maine harvest season and bring a touch of local autumn beauty home with you. 

Pumpkin Valley Farm’s Fall Festival, located in Dayton, Maine, runs from September 28 to October 27 on weekends and Columbus Day. The festival includes a 5-acre “Bee Kind” corn maze, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and family-friendly activities like duck races, a jumping pillow, and cow train rides. Enjoy farm-fresh pizza and local craft beer at The Rusty Bucket, along with treats from the Cow Lick Café. Admission is $15 per person, with discounts available.
